Adagio Bangkok

I visited BKK many times, so far this is the best place to stay in the middle of a busy city. Pretty much all you need is only a minute walk distance. Such as a sky train station, shopping mall, many street food stalls and small restaurants, Thai massage. There is also a small park a couple minutes walk, if you like little exercise. This hotel is tucked in on a small road soi 39 from the main street right next to Prom Phong station. Not very hard to find, you will not miss it. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Most of them speak English. I love the room too! It is nicely decorated, and has all the essentials such as a small refrigerator, microwave, kettle, hair dryer, and small safe box (only thing didn't work). I extended 4 more nights after staying 2 nights. It feels like my home now lol Price is very responsible compared to what they have to offer. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely visit here again!

Very poor quality hotel, avoid! Upon checking into this hotel I was provided with a room on the 4th floor (in pictures), this room instantly smelt of dampness and had a smell of the drains in the bathroom. In the room there was a dehumidifier clearly there to help with the dampness in addition there was no hot water in the shower! After highlighting the lack of hotwater in the shower, the receptionist gave me another room on the 6th floor, again no hot water. Then finally I was given a room on the 2nd floor, this one had hot water luckily. I asked for the dehumidifier to be brought to this room due to the smell of dampness. Also please note, many of the rooms do not have an external window and only have one into the hallway and the showers are built for people <6ft tall, as my head hit the ceiling. There are many other places to stay in Bangkok, don’t choose this one! This is a cheap hotel but hot water and lack of dampness are basic requirements.

A cheap hotel in a great location with several issues meaning I wouldn’t stay here again. The pros: - The hotel is located just a few minutes walk around the corner from a large luxury shopping mall and Phrom Phong BTS station. - It’s cheap. - The bed was comfortable. - It’s clean-ish (if that counts as a pro). The cons: - Upon arrival, I was told that paying by credit or debit card would incur a 3% surcharge. Luckily I had enough cash on me, but it would have been nice to be told in advance. - While the room looked quite nice at a glance, there was a fair amount of wear and tear. - The room had no window, which wasn’t stated in the booking details. Well, there technically was a window… into the corridor. Not quite what I expected from a room described as a “superior double”. - I found ants on my belongings that I left on the shelf under the TV. Only a few, but where there’s a few there’s usually more. - The shower wasn’t even lukewarm. - The shower screen didn’t work properly, so when I showered a fair amount of (cold) water ended up on the floor. - The sink had a small leak, leaving part of the bathroom floor constantly wet. I didn’t report it as I only had one more night left of my stay and didn’t want to change rooms. I planned to report it in the morning when I checked out, but there were no staff at reception even after I rang the bell. Not the greatest stay and I won’t be going back. Some might say: “What do you expect for the price?” To which I’d say: “Working plumbing”. There are lots of hotels in the area, and I’m sure you could find something better for a reasonable price.
